About me
Hello and welcome to my first ever design website! My name is Simon Butterfield and I am an artist originally from Maine. I am very passionate about design, graphic art and video production. However, I enjoy being creative on any medium when I have the opportunity. I Try to not take my self too seriously, AND LOVE TO HAVE FUN WITH MY WORK. My goal after graduation is to turn my passions into my full time job. I am a believer in freedom of expression and think that the modern digital age is a perfect time to learn and grow as an artist.

I am influenced by many artists before me, ranging all the way from Picasso to A$AP Rocky. I feel as though everybody has their unique perspective on life that could be shared in infinite ways. I am drawn to authenticity in art, and appreciate people who take the risk of showing the world their authentic selves through their work. I aim to take risks in my own work, pushing myself to learn new media and practices.

Simply put, I am inspired by the world around us. I am an avid hiker and snowboarder, so moving out to Colorado has been an incredible experience so far. Although there is so much that can be learned from the internet and technology, there is just as much to be discovered in our natural world. As a lover of the outdoors I hope to explore down to Earth design practices that anybody could understand and enjoy. While at the same time, I wish to surprise and sometimes even confuse my audience.
